That business model serves her well until the night she witnesses a coldblooded murder. While running for her life, she encounters FBI Agent Daniel Ryan. He puts her in protective custody while they hunt for the men trying to kill her…as well as the thief he believes saw the whole thing.

She doesn’t mention that he’s searching for her. The truth will come out eventually, but she hopes the lie will buy her enough time to escape. Ryan swears he’ll protect her, but she doesn’t trust him. She doesn’t trust anyone.

The longer she’s around him, though, the more she likes him, which is a problem. She doesn’t do relationships. Especially not with men who can put her in jail. Acting on her feelings is wrong—for so many reasons—but she does it anyway.

Things go from bad to worse when Ryan discovers Skye’s true identity and the murderers start to close in. If they want to survive, they’ll have to trust each other.
